Moderate

The Cape Woolamai Beacon Walk is one of several trails that circuit the southern (and highest) point of Victoria’s Philip Island. The track descends from the carpark, traversing the beach for a kilometre before curving the headland and ascending to a viewpoint over the rocky Pinnacles. The pink-tinged bluff is capped with verdant green grasses and yellow shrubs, making for a spectacular foreground setting against the intense ocean blue behind. The trail follows the headland before reaching the Beacon and lookout beyond, providing views to San Remo and even Wilsons Promontory. Best on a clear winter’s day.
